World Para Fencing has announced the dates and locations for regional Championships, World Cups and under-23s World Championships taking place in 2026, and the start of the qualification period for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

The calendar features some exciting new locations in the USA and Türkiye as Para fencing expands its reach at the start of the next Paralympic cycle. Qualification for LA 2028 will officially begin on 1 October 2026.

The 2026 Para Fencing European Championships in Cardiff, Great Britain, will deliver the kick-off from 6-11 October as British Fencing builds on its experience of hosting a World Cup in 2024.

The sport will once again be on the programme for the Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan, acting as the regional Championships from 18-26 October. Then the best fencers from the Americas will then finish the year in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 29 October – 1 November.

Providing the perfect preview for qualification, Bradenton City in Florida will be the scene for the USA’s latest international Para fencing competition as it hosts a World Cup from 27-30 May. Taking place just over two years out from LA 2028, the competition will offer fans the chance to experience the best of American Para fencing up close.

Mersin, Türkiye, will build on its experience in hosting major events when it stages the under 23s World Championships in July. The competition will be the first international Para fencing competition in the country, will follow on from the 2025 World Abilitysport Beach Games and will be part of the 2026 World Abilitysport Youth Games.

Pattaya City joins the World Cup calendar for next year as Thailand further cements its status as a platform for Para fencing in Asia. Pisa, Italy and Eger, Hungary, represent the European stops on the schedule at the start of the year.
